Super pop singer Avril Ramona Lavigne and Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley purchased a $15 million Beverly Hills mansion house together last year. Do you think Avril know how does home mortgage work? Probably not.

The house that is considered a French masterpiece sits on 3 acres of land in Beverly Hills California. It equips with a $1 million wine cellar, a tennis court, a swimming pool, 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a cinema, and a disco.

Avril and Deryck are equal partners on their house together. If they have $15 million mortgage loan for 30-year term, suppose the mortgage interest is 6 percent, each of them would pay $44,966 a month separately. I doubt they need home equity loan. If they indeed have a home mortgage loan, it probably was Deryck's second mortgage.

Deryck sold his Toronto home to move to Los Angeles with Avril. Deryck bought the four-bedroom Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Riverdale home for a $905,000 in the summer of 2003. The house was only on the market for 11 days, asking price was only $985,000 and the selling price was $1,075,000.

The main floor of the house is quite the ultra-modern nest with floor-to-ceiling windows lighting up the open-concept kitchen, living room and dining room. The family room at the back opens to a wraparound deck looking out on the 143-foot-deep lot, while the top-floor master bedroom features a five-piece en suite bathroom with limestone floor. The open-concept recreation room on the lower level is entirely above grade with a limestone floor, and it opens to the backyard. There is a three-car garage off the back lane.

Mr. Whibley left the home in far better shape than any number of hotel rooms with a lot of decorative by his band members. The best thing is that there is no need for Deryck to pay extra home mortgage loans.

Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley's house is located on the same street as former Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's home. Do they need lovely quite home?
